Something we all need to do.....  A heart felt message to anyone & everyone


For this design i started by using Pixie Powders on watercolour card. I just love the results you get with these.

I cut the Scandinavian background out of a piece of black card leaving a border to frame the design. I cut the same size piece from the watercolour card and mounted the frame on top. From the remaining piece of background i cut out several camelia flowers and grouped them over the centre at the end of the pierced flag, I stamped the sentiments Believe in yourself..... and added two small flowers along the flag.

I mounted this onto a double mount of Blush and Black card and finished with large pearls in each corner.

Finished size 8.25 x 6.25 inches

A very special person inspired this design....


For this design I used the Scandinavian collection of dies and Heather and blush foundation card stock,

The border and corner die was used to make the outside edge to frame the design. From this is sized the overall design, I added a thin black mat and then a blush and heather matt.

I used the same colour palette to create the centre piece, the die i used was the Copenhagen die and alternated the colours. I also added gems around the outside edge and on the centre piece and then added a bow to finish of the design.

Blue Scandinavia

For this background I used pixie powders, my new found favourite medium. For the frame i used the pierced rectangles and cut a frame out using Cobalt foundation cardstock. I cut the background slightly bigger than the frame and mounted it on to another piece of cobalt blue card, adding a crystal gem in each corner. Then added another mount in periwinkle cardstock.

In each corner of the frame i added a corner cut from the Austrian collection and added a large gem.

For the centre piece i used periwinkle and cobalt again and used the scandinavian Stockholm die, alternating the colours to show the beautiful design of this die. I added crystal to each periwinkle layer to add a little bit of bling.

Heart of Hearts

For this design i have used Teal, Coconut White and Duck Egg foundation card.

I cut four Art Deco Adornment in teal. I cut a piece of coconut white and mounted the adornments to it. I cut a slightly smaller piece in teal and mounted this in the centre. 

I cut out 4 charming hearts corners in duck egg and placed them in each corner of smaller teal square. 

I cut out a double layer of coconut white and teal card and mounted everything so far.

I stamped the Heart of Blossoms on to Coconut white and coloured the image in using Alcohol markers, I then cut out the finished image using the Heart of Hearts die and mounted into the centre of the design

Finished size 7.75" x 7.75"

Have an Awesome day....

For this design I chose Black, Coconut White and Rich Red.

Using the Rich red and Coconut White i cut all the layers out of the Lisbon die from the Portuguese Die set. On the top layer i stamped Have an awesome day from the just-rite sentiment stamp set. I added a black pearl on two layers.

I used the classic rose die from the  finishing touches range. Again using rich red and coconut white. I shaped them and added a pearl to the centre and left them to dry. I cut out and embossed four black leaves.

I made a double mount of Coconut white and black  to which i mounted the flowers and topper and added large black pearls to each corner adding a double layer of mounting foam ready to mount this layer

I made another double layer of rich red and coconut white adding a smaller pearl to each corner, this became the base for this design

Finished size 8" x 8"

For this one i thought id have another go with my new alcohol markers.... treated myself to a full set (Thanks for the advise John)

I started with one of John Lockwood's stamps - Daisy Dream. I stamped it out, coloured it, cut it out, including the centre sections. As i wanted the sentiment to show through. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions fabulous sentiments set.

I cut out 4 Teardrop Adorments in chestnut foundation card. I mounted these onto Papyrus card overlapping slightly top, bottom and each side. I cut a square the same size as each adornment and mounted this in the centre in chestnut then  smaller piece of papyrus, on which i stamped the sentiment centrally. I raised up the daisy dreams and placed over the sentiment. I added three pearls to each corner.

Then i added a double mount of Blush and Roast Coffee to complete the design

Finished size 7.75" x 7.75"

Mulled Wine .... Just Because ....

Mulled Wine Gilding Flakes is one of my favorites out of all the Cosmic Shimmer Gilding flakes.

.

For the base of this design i used the pierced rectangles die set and the Nobel Classic Adorned design and the Ornate pierced deign sets. I just love this nobel set the outer edge sets a design of perfectly.

To compliment the Mulled Wine gilding flakes i used Plum & Milk foundation cardstock.

The centre piece is made from the Portuguese Collection - the Porto Die. After layering up this design i added multi-hued crystals to bring out the shape of the second layer.

I stamped and embossed in gold detail embossing powder the sentiment... Just Because, from the just rite sentiment stamp set.

Finished Size 7.25" x 8.25"
