Into the Woods

This design is for the blog challenge on Moving along with the tmes.... Into the woods

I thought this was the perfect time to try out my new Lisa Horton Stamps and graphmster pens.

I simply laid the design out on a large acrylic block and stamped in one go and then coloured the images in.

Hope you like it

Bouquet of Double Roses

For this design I made lots of double roses in various sizes using Blush foundation card, the centre are gold sprinkles cosmic shimmer glue. I mounted this over the ray of light die.

To finish the bouquet off i used spiral and heart spray cut out of some waste pixie powdered paper.

I mounted this onto  pearlised white and platinum layers.

He's got wings ....

Happy Birthday Blade..... now you have wings xx

For this one i used the Curly Butterfly stamp and sentiment from Woodware.

I stamped the Butterfly in watering can archival ink, but stamped the sentiment in black archival.

I coloured the butterfly using my alcohol markers and mounted it on a piece of blue card from my stash, then another matt and layer of blue and slate grey.

Hope you like it

Good old Pixie powders

This has to be one of my favourite products, you discover new combinations everytime and no two prints are the same.

For this i have used the Nobel rectangles collection, the pansies and laurel leaves.

Simply white and iris foundation card to set this one off

I thought id go back to some old techniques to try & get me back in to crafting. So i got one my Linda Ravenscrofts cd roms out.

I love the cds as you can change to colours to make it your own. This isnt the original background, clothes or flowers.

A few flowers fora special birthday..

For this one i used complete daisies, cornflowers, laurel leaves, trailing ivy and an itty bitty bow.

The blue and pink flowers are made from card covered in pixie powders and the white and purple flowers are from plain foundation card, as is the card used for the foliage.

The bow is using some ribbed red card from my stash.

The stamp is one of Sue Wilsons.

Colouring part 3

Last of the three pieces of colouring. For this one i chose a bolder flower pattern. I chose three set of colours and four shades with that range.

I am pretty pleased with how this one came out.

Colouring part 2

Another hand coloured piece from the colouring book.

For this one i tried to make the fairy dresses look like they have movement and natural shading on the skin tones and hair.

I think i managed to make the daffodils & narcissus look real to.

Hope you like it

Colouring part 1

A little something different this week.

I have been trying to get to grips with my alcohol markers, so instead of doing a card (even though i don't put backs on them)

I have used a colouring book i was bought for Christmas as a way of practicing shading techniques.

Anything for you..

This one is for Auntie Mary who is very poorly in hospital. I know you shouldnt have favourites but .... Anything for you Auntie Mary.

Whilst there was a break in the Creative Expressions weekend takeover i created this one by a crafty accident. I started with a completely different idea.... then i remembered Mr Lockwood saying "Life is too short to measure" so i changed to a random pattern.

I used only the Italian decorative frames and only the two smallest dies. I started with a piece of milk card and cut the smallest die, eight times. and mounted it on a slightly larger piece of pixie powdered paper in teals, blues and purples.

I added it to a larger mount of iris and milk and added gems stones to the corners. I cut out the two smallest dies for the centre topper on mounted it on to pixie powdered card to set it off.

Thanks for being there for me...

This sentiment is so perfect for me right now. Tough times by 15 yr old Staffy Blade is very poorly and soo many people have made the extra effort to support me... this is for all of them.

I only used one striplet die, the quilted blocks and my favourite pixie powders, in blues, teal and silver.

The top layer i cut out an aperture and the second layer the detailed striplet section. I mounted this on deep blue and milk foundation card and finished it off with a navy blue ribbon and a butterfly from my stash.... and last but not least that wonderful sentiment.

Thanks for being there for me.

Hope you like it

Sideways striplet

I started with a piece of spearmint green card and cut an aperture using the Lattice and Lace striplet die. Using a slightly larger piece of card i cut out the same striplet without using the outside edge. I mounted these two layers together adding a piece of pixie powdered paper behind to accentuate the design.

I added these layers to another matt in periwinkle. I added this to another matt of milk and spearmint green.

I finished the design off my added pearls to the centres of the of the flowers and stamped a sentiment using black archival

Hope you like it

Just Because

Hope everyone had a good festive break.

I used my Harmony Alcohol pens and created this cute little design.

I framed it with milk and spearmint green card
